After taking out GOLD in the Decanter World Wine Awards with a fantastic 96 points out of 100 earlier this year, we've also been given 4 Stars in the Cuisine Magazine NZ Wine Tasting. As if this accolade wasn't enough, our Chardonnay was also given a 'Best Buy' nod from Cuisine so you know you can't go wrong!

"Grown on a fabulous site on the Wairau Bar, where Marlborough’s wide valley meets the sea, this wine is a punchy, dramatic expression. Attractive smoky and flinty scents are the prelude to a mouthful that combines hints of green with a touch of sweetness. Serve it with – what else? – kaimoana."
Created from 100% hand-picked Chardonnay grapes hailing from a single Wairau Valley site in the world famous Marlborough wine region, the 2015 vintage is our first ever foray into a te Pa Chardonnay, and so far it has been received to critical acclaim. The wine was kept in new and old French oak barrels for almost a full year, before being blended, filtered and bottled in March 2016.
Here's what our winemakers have to say about our Chardonnay:
"The resulting wine possesses generous aromas of grapefruit, citrus blossom, gunflint and toasty oak. Citrus peel, nectarine, and fresh almond flavours are supported by spice and smoky notes. The time on lees has imparted a subtle richness and a refined texture. This wine is focused yet elegant, and possesses good fruit intensity and a fine structure that will reward cellaring."
