Reviewed by Gourmet Traveller's New Zealand wine editor, Master of Wine Bob Campbell, the list is a 'who's who' of the best wines to hit the market this year.
"Quite a rich, ripe wine with an obvious oak influence adding an extra layer of toasty complexity to ripe stone fruit flavours. Weighty, smooth-textured wine that promises to age well in bottle."
How delicious does that sound? The Top 100 listing comes after a stellar run of awards, accolades and reviews for the beautiful 2016 Oke. In 2017, the wine was named as Dish Magazine's Number One Sauvignon Blanc, and in early 2018, The Shout Magazine's Cameron Douglas scored it 94 points and gave it the top position in his Top Ten Marlborough Wines.
To add to the string of local successes, last month the Oke was scored a fantastic 92 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, which is viewed by many in the industry as one of the most influential wine publications in the world.
If the review from Gourmet Traveller Wine has you dreaming of a glass of perfectly chilled Oke, then make sure you check out this fab video which sees the Oke matched with a Thai whole baked fish from Nadia Lim - yum!
