Marlborough Pinot Noir is fast growing a reputation as the new darling of the wine world. It's fitting then, that our uber sophisticated 2015 te Pā Pinot Noir has been given 4 stars by the culinary industry bible, Cuisine Magazine.
Crafted with 100% hand harvested Pinot Noir grapes from Marlborough's famous Southern Valleys subregion, our Pinot Noir was matured in French oak barrels for 10 months before we bottled it.
Want a little more info? Check out our tasting note:
An intensely perfumed nose with high notes of red fruits and florals overlying more brooding characters of dark cherries, spice and cedar. The palate displays dark plums and berry fruits alongside anise and cinnamon spice. The dense spicy fruit is encased in supple tannins, and supported by bright acidity to give a long lingering spicy finish to the wine.
Of course, like all great wines, this Pinot Noir is destined to be paired with great food.
Here are our food matches:
A great match with gamey meats like venison and duck, or anything cooked over a smoky BBQ. For less carnivorous appetites, try mushrooms, roast vegetables and nutty cheeses.
Keep an eye out for this beautiful wine and grab a bottle or two if you see it. Thanks to Cuisine for the wonderful review. NZ and international stockists are welcome to get in touch directly for more info.
