Sam Kim, of popular wine review website Wine Orbit, recently tasted and reviewed our just-released Sauv, and was impressed with what we've created.
Sam says of our Sauv:
"A stylish sauvignon made from grapes grown in Wairau and Awatere Valleys, the elegantly fragrant bouquet shows grapefruit, feijoa, nectarine and lime zest characters.
"It is concentrated and focused on the palate, and offers excellent fruit purity and intensity, wonderfully framed by bright acidity. The wine shows both fruit intensity as well as poise and refinement."
Sam suggests the 2016 Sauv is at its best for drinking from now to 2019, so grab a bottle to enjoy today, and treat yourself with a case and savour it over the next few years.
A wine rated 93 demonstrates outstanding quality, showing varietal purity and exemplifying regional type, so we are very proud of this 5-star rating.
te Pa winemaker Sam Bennett says this wine is a great match with all seafood, particularly shellfish. We're particularly partial to a perfectly chilled glass of Sauv with some local Cloudy Bay Clams. The crisp flavours also work well with fresh summer salads, or try it with a soft goat cheese.
