Renowned as "The world's most trusted authority in wine for over 30 years", Robert Parker's Wine Advocate is a hugely respected and widely followed guide for wine buyers.
That is why when Wine Advocate scores your wines well, you know it's a trusted source - and that's the reason we're so pleased to share these new reviews. Our flagship te Pa range scooped up three 90 point and higher scores, with our ever-acclaimed Oke Sauvignon Blanc receiving a proud 91 point score.
Our Reserve Collection continues to shine after being released in late 2019, with our estate-grown Hillside and Seaside Sauvignon Blanc wines both picking up 91 point scores, and our gorgeous 2017 Taylor River Pinot Noir scoring 90 points.

te Pa 2019 Pinot Gris: 90 Points
Te Pa's 2019 Pinot Gris is a fine example of the variety, drawn from the Redwood Hills Vineyard in the Awatere Valley. One-fifth fermented and matured in barrel, while the balance went into stainless steel. It's medium-bodied and slightly creamy and plush on the palate, showing ample textural richness without coming across as overly broad or heavy, all the while displaying ripe pear flavors and leavening them with savory spice notes of ginger, pepper and clove.
te Pa 2019 Sauvignon Blanc: 90 Points
A 50-50 blend of Awatere and Wairau fruit, Te Pa's 2019 Sauvignon Blanc strikes a nice balance between the herbal and fruity sides of this grape variety. Grassy notes accent passion fruit and pink grapefruit on the medium-bodied palate, finishing with crisp, almost briny acids.
te Pa 2018 Oke Sauvignon Blanc: 91 Points
The 2018 Oke Sauvignon Blanc was fermented with indigenous yeasts in 320-liter "cigars" of French oak. Notes of struck match and burnt coffee appear on the nose, adding an appealing savory edge to scents of grilled citrus and stone fruit. It's medium-bodied and richly textured on the palate, then finishes a bit dry and woody. My best guess is that this needs another year or so of cellaring before hitting its peak, where it should stay for a few years.
te Pa 2019 Reserve Collection 'Hillside' Sauvignon Blanc: 91 Points
Ripened past much of the leafiness that often characterizes Awatere wines, Te Pa's 2019 The Reserve Collection Hillside Sauvignon Blanc instead offers copious notes of stone fruit and grapefruit. It's medium-bodied and intense, with a hint of crushed stone on the lingering finish.
te Pa 2019 Reserve Collection 'Seaside' Sauvignon Blanc: 91 Points
Marked by tropical notes of guava and passion fruit on the nose, Te Pa's medium-bodied 2019 The Reserve Collection Seaside Sauvignon Blanc comes from the lower Wairau Valley, where the river flows into the ocean. Concentrated and intense, it's crisp, clean and saline on the lingering finish.
te Pa 2017 Reserve Collection 'Taylor River' Pinot Noir: 90 Points
Sourced from the Omaka Valley, Te Pa's 2017 The Reserve Collection Taylor River Pinot Noir features vaguely floral and cedary aromas interlaced with dark plum and black cherry notes. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, marked by a spicy oak component (two of the six barrels were new), with a long, silky finish that hints at cranberries and cinnamon.
