The International Wine Challenge is a long-running and highly regarded wine competition, with a judging panel that brings together some of the leading personalities (and palates) in the industry. From Sarah Abbott MW, to Oz Clarke and Dr Jamie Goode, the IWC panel holds a tonne of sway in the wine world.
That's why we're tickled pink to have won two silver medals for our newly released 2016 te Pā Pinot Noir, and our 2016 te Pā Chardonnay!
The judges said of our sophisticated Chardonnay: "Buttery with yellow peach. Rich lively vibrancy, tropical fruit and tobacco scents with good length."
And our gorgeous Pinot Noir seemed to hit the spot too: "Dark cherry fruit with spice and herbal notes, plus savoury hints of earth, forest and tobacco on the palate, leading to a long finish."
Many thanks and aroha to the esteemed judging panel for these two accolades, and congratulations to all of the other winners who took out medals in the IWC. Check out the full list of winners here.
