The 2022 Chardonnay Reserve Collection Auntsfield Vineyard marks a step up in ambition, displaying the rounded, full texture of the clays of the Southern Valleys. Careful handling, from hand-picking and whole-bunch pressing to full-solids barrel ferment, has delivered a wine with clarity and texture as well as integrated tones of grilled nuts and flinty reduction. It is complex, citrusy, salty and lithe on the finish – almost good enough to eat.
Te Pa Family Vineyards 2023 Sauvignon Blanc The Reserve Collection Seaside (92 Points)
Give the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc The Reserve Collection Seaside a little air to reveal its richly fruited, succulent side. Initially a little flinty and shy with grapefruit-like citrus character, the wine opens up to show its passion fruit flavors, which come through strong on the finish. Deeply flavored and full with good concentration and substance, there’s an appetizing chew to the firm but balanced acidity on the ever-so-slightly salty finish. The Seaside is a carefully handled wine that offers purity of fruit and texture without any oak interference.

The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc The Reserve Collection Hillside, is taken from a single vineyard and carefully made – hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed to preserve the clarity and delicacy of the fruit. Fermented in stainless steel, its Awatere Valley character shines through with its green fruit, silvery minerality and lemon citrus characters. You can expect intense fruit concentration and a supple, full palate. Firm but balanced acidity draws this wine together to produce a dry, structured white. It is filled with personality and persistence and laced with fine sinew.

Te Pa Family Vineyards 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Signature Series (90 Points)
The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Signature Series is a relaxed style with curved edges and succulent texture. It's less tightly coiled than the estate's straight Sauvignon Blanc, offering fuller body, substance and richness. It remains dry, refreshing and bright, with fresh tropical flavors of passion fruit and pineapple meeting the greener edges of the spectrum – all gooseberry and Thai green herbs.
