te Pā Reserve Collection 2021 Westhaven Pinot Noir
"The 2021 Pinot Noir Westhaven is appealingly savory with earthy beetroot characters. It has a lovely silken texture, expansive and mouthfilling but not heavy. Roasted tomatoes and cherry flavours lead to a mocha twist on the finish (likely from the one-third new oak). Succulent tea-leaf-like tannins further add to this wine's appeal. The 2021 was cropped low at 5 t/ha, hand-picked and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Its careful handling is apparent in the results."
te Pā 2024 Pinot Noir (88 Points)
"The 2024 Pinot Noir exudes youthfulness with a pale but vibrant purple colour. A sweet compote of juicy blackberry and raspberry makes for a refreshing, fruit-forward style. Tannins are fine-grained and well judged. The medium-length finish reveals subtle festive spice, adding a layer of complexity to the fruit. This will make an excellent by-the-glass offering at good value."
